World Book Night

30 Jan

Hey, do you love reading? Do you want to share that love with others? I have a cool opportunity for you – World Book Night. From the website:

We need book-loving volunteers to fan out across America on April 23, 2012! Just take 20 free copies of a book to a location in your community, and you just might change someone’s life. Please sign up by Feb. 1.

The goal is to give books to new readers, to encourage reading, to share your passion for a great book. The entire publishing, bookstore, library, author, printing, and paper community is behind this effort with donated services and time.

There are 30 books to choose from, and you get to give them to anyone you want (preferably a non- or light reader). Doesn’t that sound like fun? It took me 3 minutes to fill out the application form. If you’re chosen, you will be able to pick up your books at a local bookstore on Monday, April 23, then you can share your love of reading with the world.

Go for it!

So which book did you select? They have some nice options that I’ve heard are good reads but I haven’t read any of them yet.
