Things That Are Wasted On The Young

2 May

We’ve all heard that phrase, “Youth is wasted on the young” right? Since I’m living in a house with four youngsters, I thought I’d look at other things wasted on those tiny ingrates.

  1. Naps
  2. Good metabolism
  3. The desire to run and run and run and play
  4. The ability to be easily amused (cardboard box + child = hours of fun)
  5. Uber cutsey clothes with ruffles in weird places
  6. Sparkly shoes
  7. Boundless energy
  8. Ability to get up early Every. Single. Morning. and be chipper
  9. Not caring about having bad breath
  10. Early bedtimes

What else?

    – The flexibility and ability to get into and out of any position they want (without a single groan or crack)
    – Being waited on hand and foot and having all of their needs provided for them.

How could I possibly have overlooked those two items? Very, very true. Little flexible ingrates.

April, I’m back in the blogosphere! I’ve missed you!

And STROLLERS! It’s beyond me why the buggers never want to sit in them when I would give my right ankle to sit in a reclining chair with wheels and a cupholder (for my Starbucks) and be pushed around the mall, or Disneyland, or anywhere really.

Yay, Erin’s back!! Good to see ya, girl!

Strollers with cupholders – ahhh – the luxury of someone else walking and me riding, guilt-free.

Feeling free enough to admit that sometimes the “snacks” stored in the nose don’t taste like they should! LOL!

…probably a little more PC to call that the uninhibited..ness of youth. Society appreciates the filters but can you imagine how liberating it would be to just be able to speak your mind?

Freeing on my end – scary coming from someone else, for sure.

Wrinkle-free skin. Hair growing only where it should. Ability to look adorable in every picture taken of them.
